Pause

As humans, we tend to live our lives chasing after one thing or another, never content, and always striving for more. ‘More’ is such an interesting word to me. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where the word ‘more’ wasn’t even needed, a world where all we had was just enough. But then I remember that this drive for more is what makes life so exciting. The fact that there is something to work towards, something to look forward to is what keeps things moving. Comfort is boring and change is thrilling. But is change always necessary? Despite the excitement that comes with change, I feel in life we need to know when to pause. To stop and reflect, not allowing ourselves to get lost in this chase for ‘more’, and reminding ourselves every now and then what our core values are.
